So to recap:
Democrats took the house.
The Senate is close, but that’s looking Democrat as well.
Six states ousted their Republican governors.
Nancy Pelosi is going to be the first female Speaker of the House.
Rick Santorum was kicked out by a 17 point margin. Bye bye fucker.
Donald Rumsfeld resigned. Please see Santorum’s farewell above.
And
Any chance the Dems won’t blow this? I am cautiously optimistic.

hi. i'm not really from wallis OR futuna. in fact, i don't even know where those places are. isn't that remarkable? the world isn't so big, that a person should be able to not know the whereabouts of wallis and/or futuna. i'm living in oregon right now. before that i lived in amsterdam. before that i lived in new york. when people say, "where are you from?" i still say new york. everyone knows where new york is. but new yorkers didn't go camping enough for me. alas. i sure miss the bagels.

It's enough to make one take up prayer...because their election record would indicate an embrace of 'blow it' as official party line.
I will be optimistic though. I will be. It's why I vote.
